'Marigolds' Original Oil Painting
My sister in law dropped these off to me yesterday. I decided that I would paint them from a more vertical view point and use blue in the background to help the orange stand out because it was impossible to really get the true intensity of the marigolds in reality with pigment. So the blue really helps them feel brighter than they are.
I can’t help but be reminded of van gogh after painting this one.
