Hey Folks

I have been involved in something creative ever since I could remember. I have an appreciation not just for painting but for film, literature, and music too. Having experience working in film, playing in bands, and writing poetry, I find inspiration in the other mediums to help motivate my painting practice and what it means to be an artist.

I never took any formal art education, just an enthusiastic self educated student of art. From the renaissance to the impressionists and the abstract expressionists, I have looked wherever I could find them; in books, youtube videos, online workshops. I have been incredibly grateful to live in a time and place where such resources are so readily available. It makes learning painting so much more accessible. And I would encourage others that feel inclined to paint to give it a go as it is really something I believe to be good for you. And anyone can do it! You just have to practice. We were all at that stage once where we could barely draw a stick figure. I believe what matters is the practice of making art and putting it out there in the world for others to enjoy.
