Protea Original Oil Painting
I felt like really studying this protea intensely today. I made a few sketches to warm up and then got into it. Perhaps it will be used in a larger still life work. The rennaissance artists liked to use drawing and small studies to help them understand their subject on a deeper level. I guess that’s what i was inspired by today.
I’m not the kind of artist that enjoys painting the same way every single time. I enjoy challenging myself and seeing how i can approach the process differently each time. I might do some more of these.
