Crimson Blues Original Oil Painting
Part of the 30 days of still life series.
I wanted to paint lillies today but I found these poppies on the way to the studio this morning and i just thought they looked so cool with their long windy stems and then i went and got some cool blue paper from the craft store for the background because blue, it’s just such a calming colour and to have warm and cool colours in your painting just seems to work.
One of the poppies wilted completely as i painted and I thought of the fragility of our existence.
10 x 12 inch Oil on canvas
Made with artist grade winsor and newton oil paints.
